Our privacy promise
Your dog's health data belongs to you. We use it to run MyFrnchy for you — not to sell to advertisers. We collect the minimum we need, we encrypt data in transit and at rest, and we delete your data when you ask us to.

1 Who We Are
MyFrnchy is a product of Zunix Labs ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our mobile app and website (the "Service"). It applies to French Bulldog owners and other individuals who create an account, join the beta, or visit our website.
2 Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account details: email address, password (hashed), and optional display name.
- Dog profiles: your dog's name, breed, date of birth, sex, weight, color, microchip number (optional), health conditions, vet and groomer preferences, and photos you upload.
- Care logs: daily health observations (energy, appetite, stool, breathing, mood, temperature, notes), medications and dosage history, vaccinations, vet appointments, grooming appointments, feeding logs, weight logs, and expenses.
- Subscription info: subscription tier and status (payment card details are handled by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat and are not shared with us in raw form).
- Support & beta feedback: any information you send us when you contact support or submit beta feedback.
- Beta signup form: your name, email, phone platform (iOS/Android), number of Frenchies, and ZIP/postal code.
Information collected automatically:
- Device & usage data: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, IP address, and anonymized event telemetry (which screens you visit, which features you use). Collected through PostHog.
- Crash & diagnostic data: stack traces, error messages, and device state at the time of a crash. Collected through Sentry.
- Approximate location: used only when you tap features that search for nearby vets or groomers, or when you grant permission explicitly. We do not continuously track your location.
3 How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain your account, profiles, and logs.
- Sync your data across your devices and protect it with access controls.
- Power FRNCHY AI features (chat, tips, summaries, health scores).
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets, billing notices) via Resend.
- Process subscriptions and verify entitlements through RevenueCat and the app stores.
- Monitor product health, debug crashes, and improve features through aggregated analytics.
- Communicate important updates, respond to support requests, and enforce our Terms.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
We do not sell your personal information or your dog's health data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
4 FRNCHY AI & Data
When you use FRNCHY AI features, the prompt (including relevant dog context such as breed, age, weight, and recent logs you've chosen to include) is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, so the model can generate a response. We use OpenAI's API with the following safeguards:
- We send only the minimum context needed to answer your question.
- OpenAI does not use API data to train their models per their API policy at the time of integration.
- We cache certain AI summaries in our database so you can see them later, and so we don't regenerate identical requests.
- AI output is educational only and is not veterinary advice.
For breed-specific educational content, we also use retrieval-augmented generation over curated Frenchie research we've embedded in our database. These embeddings are about our reference content, not your personal logs.
5 Service Providers
We use carefully selected service providers ("sub-processors") to run the Service. Each one handles only the data it needs for its specific role, under contractual confidentiality obligations.

6 Sharing & Disclosure
We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- With sub-processors (listed above) to operate the Service.
- With caregivers you authorize, such as a co-parent, family member, or sitter, once household sharing is enabled — only after you explicitly grant access.
- For legal reasons, if we are required to respond to a valid legal request, protect the rights, property, or safety of MyFrnchy, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer, if Zunix Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. We will notify you and ensure your data remains subject to a privacy policy at least as protective.
7 Data Retention
We keep your account and data for as long as your account is active. Retention windows by tier:
- Free tier: rolling 1-year history of daily logs, medications, and other records is accessible in-app. Older records may be archived or purged.
- Premium tier: rolling 3-year history of records is accessible in-app, with extended archival for as long as your subscription is active.
- Crash & analytics data: retained up to 90 days in a form that is not linked to your account.
- Backups: encrypted database backups are retained up to 30 days.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to keep certain records (for example, tax and billing records).
8 Your Rights & Choices
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Access and export your data by using the in-app export feature (PDF/CSV) or by emailing us.
- Correct your profile and dog details directly in the app.
- Delete individual records from within the app, or delete your whole account from the profile screen.
- Opt out of product analytics by disabling analytics in the app's Privacy settings.
- Manage subscriptions and cancel at any time through your device's subscription settings.
- Request a copy of your data or raise any privacy question by emailing privacy@myfrnchy.com.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or another region with a GDPR-style regime, you also have the right to object to processing, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9 Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, row-level security policies that scope every query to the owning user, scoped API keys, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk, but we work hard to keep your data safe.
10 Children's Privacy
MyFrnchy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11 International Transfers
We are based in the United States. When you use the Service, your data may be processed in the U.S. or other countries where our sub-processors operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.
12 California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. You can exercise your rights by emailing privacy@myfrnchy.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
13 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above.
